Helping Australian reporters deliver reliably from any scene

reportexly.com was founded to close the gap between journalism education and the practical routines newsrooms actually rely on every day.

Our story

reportexly.com started as a series of informal workshops for junior reporters struggling with the gap between classroom journalism and the reality of filing from a windy footpath with a dropped signal and a deadline in ten minutes.

Today we work with newsrooms across Australia to build interview, camera, and live-cross routines that hold up on real assignments, not just in a training room.

What guides our training

Repeatable over improvised

We teach routines that hold up under deadline pressure, not one-off tricks that only work when conditions are perfect.

Built with working newsrooms

Every module is developed with input from reporters and producers currently filing daily and breaking news.

Calm, confident delivery

Technical skill matters, but so does composure. We coach both together, not one at the expense of the other.
